“Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.”
Either you believe God’s word or you don’t- that is sometimes easier said than done. It takes focus to develop a calm when it looks like it is time to panic.
Then He arose and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, “Peace be still!” And the wind ceased and there was a great calm.
Here is what you have to know at all times, Jesus can stop any storm.
The story found in Mark chapter four verses 35-39 is of the disciples in a boat with sleeping Jesus. As they were going from one place to another a storm came, apparently a very big storm because the disciples panicked. “Teacher” they cried out “do you not care that we are perishing.” The fact that Jesus was sleeping was as if He was saying: “Whatever! No big deal.” But He awakened, silenced the storm, no big deal.
Here is what many people forget when times gets really bad Jesus has already stopped the storm. In John chapter 14 verse 27 He said He has given us a peace that is not like the peace that the world has. A Believer in the word does not have to panic- it’s no big deal!
You will keep Him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on You, because he trust in You.
This is the key: You have to keep looking at Jesus no matter what. You must remember God’s word, His promises, regardless of the circumstances. But if you do loose focus just call Him:
For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, “Abba Father.”
