2 Timothy 3:16
All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness,

The Bible does not say “all Pastors,” or “all Bible Teachers” or even “all denominations,” are profitable.

John 1:1
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

PSALM 119:38, 50, 89, 105
38) Establish Your word to Your servant, Who is devoted to fearing You.
50) This is my comfort in my affliction, For Your word has given me life.
89) Forever, O Lord, Your word is settled in heaven.
105) Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.

John 1:14
And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.

It is the word of God that is the key to a better life not man. Father God chooses men (and women) to present His words to his children.

And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ,  till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ;

It is His will to have men and women present His word to the people so that they understand how to live a blessed life. I have learned, through observation and the hard way, that some of the individuals standing in the pulpit are not properly fulfilling God’s will for the office they hold. (That is a nice way of saying they are presenting crap!)

Some people believe that they cannot question / challenge the man or woman of God but you can and should. With the growing number of Social Media Ministers- individuals sharing the gospel via YouTube,Facebook and Twitter- it is even more important that the hearer or reader of the word know what the Bible actually states. It is important that we review the the words of those telling us their understanding of Scripture. I firmly believe that everyone should study the Bible independent of outside opinion however, the proliferation of Social Media Ministers makes this idea even more needed.

As a teacher of God’s word I, and anyone else, must understand that we will be held accountable for our teachings.

1 TIMOTHY 6:3-5
If anyone teaches otherwise and does not consent to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which accords with godliness, he is proud, knowing nothing, but is obsessed with disputes and arguments over words, from which come envy, strife, reviling, evil suspicions, useless wranglings of men of corrupt minds and destitute of the truth, who suppose that godliness is a means of gain. From such withdraw yourself.

The increase availability of alternative Bible teachings is a result, I believe, of the proliferation of Bible manipulation. ‘Keep your hands off of the anointed or you will be cursed’ therefore you cannot say your Pastor is wrong even if he is. Or, give your not enough and God will make it more than enough even if that money you are holding onto is your rent money. People are taught Scripture (MY OPINION) in order to make sure church bills are paid which is why the church staff is doing well financially and the people are still struggling - after years of sitting under a particular church’s teachings.

The number of non-traditional churches will increase as traditional churches present messages based on Social Doctrine.

What is Social Doctrine? When the word of man becomes more influential than the word of God.

Certainly not! Indeed, let God be true but every man a liar. As it is written: “That You may be justified in Your words, and may overcome when You are judged.”

There are many who accept homosexuality as a “normal” lifestyle therefore a lesbian church leader is acceptable- God says no. The Pope has declared it appropriate to have Islamic prayer within the borders of the Vatican- the first THREE commandments have not changed. The acceptance of abortion by a Baptist Preacher who declares this to be acceptable to God. then  it becomes necessary to share the gospel- “by any means necessary.”

LUKE 19:40
But He answered and said to them, “I tell you that if these should keep silent, the stones would immediately cry out.”

As a teacher of God’s word it is important to study the word and speak His truths regardless of what other churches are doing. As hearers of the word we must know that not everyone who talks about Jesus has a personal relationship with Him and understands the truths within Scripture. Jesus and the Apostle Peter warned us that there would be false teachers.

“Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves”

2PETER 2:1
But there were also false prophets among the people, even as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Lord who bought them, and bring on themselves swift destruction.

Not all teachings are obviously anti-Bible some just fall short of the life changing power that accompanies the speaking of God’s truths.

For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

Churches around the world are teaching an overview of the word without reaching the heart of God.

Women who have been in churches for years see nothing wrong with having an abortion knowing that God is merciful (Psalm 127:3,Psalm 66:20). Both men and women give tithes and offerings while committing adultery because God is forgiving (Matthew 8:21). Many regular church attendees as well as church leaders are actively, and all to often, openly practicing homosexuality because God is no respecter of persons (Romans 2:11).  Because the message of today’s churches is focused on motivation and not Christian living biblical principles are not applied to activities of daily living.

JOHN 7:16-17
Jesus answered them and said, “My doctrine is not Mine, but His who sent Me. If anyone wills to do His will, he shall know concerning the doctrine, whether it is from God or whether I speak on My own authority.

If Jesus said He did not teach His doctrine but Father God’s doctrine then why should a person accept the opinions of someone just because he or she has a title and speaks in a building?

It is your responsibility as a hearer of the word to study your Bible and make sure that what you are receiving is the truth.

2 TIMOTHY 3:16-17
All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.
